THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS

For the first two jaw-dropping nights of our retreat, we will be staying in the Atlas Mountains.

This beautiful boutique hideway is just an hour away from Marrakech and we will transport you straight from the airport to this oasis of relaxation. 

You'll have a hammam spa day to get rid of all of that travel stress, the day after you arrive, you'll enjoy an outdoor evening of henna and lounging to soak up the local culture while sipping craft cocktails and eating the most delicious farm to table Mediterranean fare. And you'll have plenty of time to dip in our private retreat pool and just unwind completely. 

This is the most serene and stunning way to kick off our beautiful week together. It's a bucket list must!

gentle yoga

TO START THE DAY

We'll start a few of our Marrakech days with gentle yoga guided by our local instructor under the canopy of palms.

Yoga is always optional, if you'd rather linger over your cappuccino longer or stay under the covers an extra hour, that's never a problem.

From the farm to table meals (with organic produce plucked right from the family's on-site garden at our hotel) to the decadent dining in some of the city's most well-loved establishments to our private tagine and bread-making cooking classes, you will be beautifully sated with this culture's Mediterranean-inspired, delicious hospitality.

No painting, sketching, photography or art experience needed for any of our mini creativity workshops. These are informal, optional creativity sessions meant to inspire and delight everyone.

From the markets in the Medina, the flower gardens all over Marrakech, the contrasting colors of the palaces, the jaw-dropping majestic mountains to the golden hour that lasts all day, Morocco is one of the most photogenic places you will ever visit.

Lizzie will show you how to use your smart phone to be more creative, curious, present, joyful and in awe long after you get home from the retreat.

Not only will you create photos that capture your new found love of the Moroccan scenery, but you will take all of these creative and transformative tools home to start seeing your everyday life through a whole new lens.

Get ready to fall in love with your colorful camera roll (or just learn how all the buttons work on your iPhone).

Lizzie Larock is a writer, photographer, and positive psychology–based coach. 

Her fine-art photography has been featured in galleries — she shoots almost everything on her iPhone. Through her signature Life Feast mashup of curiosity, awe, mindfulness, and photography, Lizzie helps people see the world—and their own lives—through a whole new lens.

As co-founder of Art of Life Creativity Retreats, she’s led over 200 travelers on creative adventures around the globe.

This will be her 3rd retreat in Morocco. When she's not traveling all over the world, she's at her home in Colorado with her husband, identical twin daughters and her sweet dog, Luna.
