Six different Art of Life Creativity retreats. One very good problem.

It’s official. Every one of our 2027 Art of Life Creativity Retreats is open for booking.

Art of Life Creativity Retreats are small-group creative travel retreats for women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. Solo travelers are welcome, and no art experience is needed.

And I know exactly what happens next. You open the website, fall in love with Morocco, then you see the yacht in Croatia, then someone mentions a gorgeous spa inside of a villa in Italy, or a fantastic artist in Portugal and suddenly it’s 11pm and you’ve booked nothing!

So let me make it easier. Here’s how I’d think about each one.

Portugal in April | April 1-6, 2027

For the first-time retreater, or anyone who wants a big dose of creative joy in a short week.

Five nights at Casa Fuzetta, owned by a fabulous woman who used to head Jamie Oliver's empire. So yes, it's a beautifully restored historic house in the fishing town of Olhão, with a heated rooftop pool and a meditation room under the original stained-glass dome and the MOST incredible food.

Urban sketching with Dora Keogh, yoga with Susan Gatehouse, a cacao ceremony with the most delightful former lawyer turned reiki master, a soundbath and photowalking with me (and lots and lots of laughter at dinner). It's a mix of feeling fully alive yet also creatively nourished in record time. The Faro airport is close, there are direct flights from USA to Faro, which your jet-lagged self will appreciate.

Morocco | April 25-May 3, 2027

For the one who's ready to feel like her wildly adventurous self again.

We start in the Atlas Mountains at spectacular Kasbah Bab Ourika, then head to Marrakech and the gorgeous gardens of Jnane Tamsna. Colorful souks, artist studios, a traditional hammam, henna tattoo party, vintage motorcycle sidecar tour, camels and cocktails at sunset, Moroccan tagine cooking class, belly dancers, belly laughs, Yves Saint Laurent's gardens, and a sunrise hot air balloon ride.

This is the retreat where you'll come home with your soul and your luggage filled to the brim!

Le Marche, Italy | May 15-22, 2027

For the one who takes care of everyone else and is ready for a week to be taken care of.

Seven nights at Oliveto, a spectacular private estate near the Adriatic coast, where someone else cooks, someone else makes the plans, and your biggest decision might be whether to paint, get a massage, or pour another glass of wine.

Meditative watercolor with Katie White, restorative yoga with Susan, a spa, gorgeous Italian hill towns, a boat day relaxing on the Adriatic, and long, leisurely dinners nightly.

This is la dolce vita without having to lift a finger. Well, except to raise your glass.

Le Marche is the gorgeous part of Italy that the tour buses and crowds haven’t found yet (lucky us!). (It’s pronounced MAR-kay.) And shhhh, it's Italy's best kept secret. But the secret is out about how amazing our retreats are. This one has just a few rooms left. Snag one before we run out.

Sardinia | May 22-28, 2027

Want to live your best life in the most gorgeous blue zone area with a renowned mindset coach who has 71 ways to say yes to life? Laura King brings her zest for life to the gorgeous island of Sardinia. Janie Florea leads watercolor workshops for all levels, along with daily yoga with an incredible local yoga teacher, an Italian cooking class with a 5 star chef, a wine tasting with the most extraordinary view and a day sailing around some beautiful Sardinian bays. This is our third year in Sardinia, the staff says we're their favorite, they spoil us rotten and there’s a reason (or about 100!) why we keep coming back.

Croatia | September 4-11, 2027

For the one who has always wanted to say “meet me on the yacht.”

Seven nights aboard Karizma, a private 157-foot luxury motor yacht, cruising the Dalmatian Islands with Katie White, Laura King and me. If you love paint brushes AND paddleboarding, and are ready to sip, swim and savor your way through the incredible Dalmatian Coast and Croatian scenery, then all aboard. Portugal in September | September 14-20, 2027

For the watercolor lover who likes things a little whimsical and wants to dive deep into technique.

We've got six nights back at Casa Fuzetta with watercolor artist Margot Carr and me, plus yoga, cacao, incredible food and a soundbath with live piano! Yes, live piano. It’s as dreamy as it sounds. The ocean will be perfect for swimming on our boat day, the bougainvillea is blooming all over town, the rooftop is ready for the most beautiful dinners and Margot is a thoughtful and amazing watercolor teacher. Quick answers

Can I come on a retreat by myself?

Absolutely. You don't need to bring a friend. Many of our guests come solo and go home with a whole group of new friends.

Do I need art experience?

No. You don't need to be an artist, or good at yoga or watercolor. Every workshop is for all levels, including total beginners.

Who comes on these retreats?

Creative, curious, fun-loving women, mostly in their 40s, 50s and 60s, who want to travel, make art and laugh a lot. We've welcomed more than 300 guests so far.
